Generator Rental in Orlando, Florida
You can rent a generator in Orlando today from Restoration Equipment Supply — portable units for a single circuit and towable units for whole-site power, delivered fueled across Orange County. Central Florida's inland storms flood buildings and drop the grid at the same time, and drying equipment often has to make its own electricity.
Orlando is inland, but Hurricane Ian in 2022 proved that doesn't mean safe — the storm dumped historic rainfall that flooded Orlo Vista and neighborhoods across Orange County while power was out for days. A properly sized generator runs your air movers, dehumidifiers, and scrubbers as one chain so recovery starts right away. Review the fleet on our Florida generator rental page or estimate wattage with our calculator.
Power the Whole Drying Chain
From a single circuit in a Winter Park home to whole-site power at an I-Drive hotel or convention facility, we size and fuel a generator that keeps every drying unit running through the outage.
- Runs air movers, dehumidifiers, and scrubbers as one drying package
- Portable units for small jobs; towable units for whole-site power
- Delivered fueled with fuel service available on longer deployments
- Ideal for Orlando storm, flood, and outage response when there's no site power
Built for Central Florida's Floods & Outages
Orange County is laced with lakes and low, poorly draining ground, so when a slow, wet system like Hurricane Ian stalls over Central Florida, inland flooding overwhelms neighborhoods from Orlo Vista to Apopka while the grid goes dark for days. The metro's enormous hospitality footprint — International Drive hotels, the convention center, and the Lake Nona medical city — means big institutional losses that can't dry until power returns. A grid-independent generator lets crews run the full drying chain through the outage, protecting buildings before Florida heat and humidity drive mold.

Where can I rent a generator in Orlando?
Restoration Equipment Supply rents portable and towable generators across Orange County — Orlando, Winter Park, Lake Nona, Windermere, and Apopka — delivered fueled and ready. Call (973) 685-4030 or request a quote.
Why do I need a generator in inland Orlando?
Orlando isn't coastal, but Hurricane Ian's 2022 rainfall caused historic inland flooding across Orange County while power was out for days. A generator lets your drying equipment run anyway, so recovery starts immediately instead of waiting on the utility — important in Central Florida's humidity, where mold spreads fast.
Can one generator run my whole Orlando drying package?
Usually yes, when sized correctly. Air movers draw low amps, so your dehumidifiers are the biggest loads. Send us the equipment list and we'll spec a portable or towable generator that carries the running load plus startup surge with headroom to extend the job.
Do you deliver generators fueled and same-day in Orange County?
Yes. Generators arrive fueled with fuel service on longer deployments, and we run 24/7 storm dispatch. For maximum drying capacity, our trailer-mounted desiccant dehumidifiers carry their own onboard generator — grid-independent by design.
What other equipment can I rent in Orange County?
Beyond generators we rent desiccant and LGR dehumidifiers, air movers, air scrubbers, and negative-air machines. See the Orange County desiccant hub or browse our full inventory.
Drying plans and equipment counts follow the IICRC S500 Standard for Professional Water Damage Restoration. Restoration Equipment Supply is an IICRC Certified Firm.
