Generator Rental in Fort Myers, Florida
You can rent a generator in Fort Myers today from Restoration Equipment Supply — portable units for a single circuit and towable units for whole-site power, delivered fueled across Lee County. On the Southwest Florida coast, surge and power loss arrive together, and drying equipment often has to make its own electricity.
Fort Myers took a direct hit from Hurricane Ian in 2022, whose catastrophic storm surge devastated Fort Myers Beach and flooded the Caloosahatchee riverfront while power was out for weeks in places. A properly sized generator runs your air movers, dehumidifiers, and scrubbers as one chain so recovery starts right away. Review the fleet on our Florida generator rental page or size it with our calculator.
Power the Whole Drying Chain
From a single circuit in a River District condo to whole-site power at a Fort Myers Beach rebuild, we size and fuel a generator that keeps every drying unit running through the outage.
- Runs air movers, dehumidifiers, and scrubbers as one drying package
- Portable units for small jobs; towable units for whole-site power
- Delivered fueled with fuel service available on longer deployments
- Ideal for Fort Myers storm, flood, and outage response when there's no site power
Built for Lee County's Surge & Outages
Lee County sits on the low Southwest Florida coast where the Caloosahatchee meets the Gulf, and Hurricane Ian's 2022 surge showed how completely water and prolonged power loss can overwhelm the area — Fort Myers Beach, the downtown River District, and inland Lehigh Acres all faced flooding and extended outages. When the grid is down for days after a major storm, drying can't start without on-site power. A grid-independent generator lets crews run the full drying chain immediately, protecting structures before the Gulf-coast heat and humidity drive mold.

Where can I rent a generator in Fort Myers?
Restoration Equipment Supply rents portable and towable generators across Lee County — Fort Myers, Fort Myers Beach, Estero, and Lehigh Acres — delivered fueled and ready. Call (973) 685-4030 or request a quote.
Why do I need a generator after a Fort Myers hurricane?
Hurricane Ian's 2022 surge devastated Lee County and left areas without power for weeks while water damage spread. A generator lets your drying equipment run anyway, so recovery starts immediately instead of waiting on the utility — critical in the Gulf-coast humidity, where mold sets in fast.
Can one generator run my whole Fort Myers drying package?
Usually yes, when sized correctly. Air movers draw low amps, so your dehumidifiers are the biggest loads. Send us the equipment list and we'll spec a portable or towable generator that carries the running load plus startup surge with headroom.
Do you deliver generators fueled and same-day in Lee County?
Yes. Generators arrive fueled with fuel service on longer deployments, and we run 24/7 storm dispatch. For maximum drying capacity, our trailer-mounted desiccant dehumidifiers carry their own onboard generator — grid-independent by design.
What other equipment can I rent in Lee County?
Beyond generators we rent desiccant and LGR dehumidifiers, air movers, air scrubbers, and negative-air machines. See the Lee County desiccant hub or browse our full inventory.
Drying plans and equipment counts follow the IICRC S500 Standard for Professional Water Damage Restoration. Restoration Equipment Supply is an IICRC Certified Firm.
